Proposed development chestnut hill road
The Planning Board met with George Connors of Connorstone Engineering to informally discuss a proposed project identified by the Assessors as Parcel 72-3 consisting of just under 15 acres located on Chestnut Hill Road. This property is better known as the "Johnson Farm", owned by the Johnson Family and was under Chapter 61A protection until 2014.
The property is identified in the Open Space Plan as a priority site for protection and for recreational use.
The Developer presented two conceptual plans. The first plan presented was a conventional 12-lot subdivision plan and the second a cluster residential project which can be created under the Town's flexible development bylaw allowing for reduced lot size and frontage and requires open space and affordable units.
The developer has also reached out to SHOPC (the town's affordable housing committee) to discuss affordable units and will meet on October 20 at 6:00pm at the senior center.
The developer also met with department heads to informally discuss the proposed project and will most likely meet with other boards and committees to discuss this project.
